Focus X2 has been the basis of performance analysis for thousands of coaches worldwide over the last few years. Continuing to improve the Focus experience has led us to add the new dimension of Voice Control to Focus: enabling simpler, faster and more accurate analysis. Using Focus Voice Control will change the way you work by simplifying your data entry. You will be able to generate more events live during a game, saving hours of analysis time and allowing you to do more tagging live.
Focus Voice Control uses the speech recognition facilities built into Windows (Microsoft Office is required) and adds a special interface to Focus. Instead of pressing keys or clicking the mouse, Focus lets you speak the names of the category options you want to log. You will need a microphone (preferably a USB connected headset type) and to enable Windows speech recognition as well as activating Focus Voice Control. Voice Control is built-in to Focus X2 (from build 1124 onwards). This great new feature is turned on simply by a new license activation key. Enabling Voice Control in Focus can be purchased for £500.
Voice recognition technology with Focus X2 has been empirically shown to be accurate and reliable for the live and post match coding of football at championship level.
